I definitely bitch to my wife and friends when it happens, and today I had to double check that I was typing in the right window and not in the email response.
It is very annoying when he makes a big fuss about mistakes and presses the cause often on me. Granted, I do make mistakes, but this time I copied something exactly right, but apparently there was an unrecorded revision that I somehow should have known about, so it was my fault again.
Sorry for venting, just one of those days I guess.

Each was brought up in the Mod discussion area, both the initial post and your request for an explanation. Essentially the post applied a specific formula to the topic it was satirizing that didn’t work, and it was pulled. The author got tons of shit for it and probably won’t touch the topic again.
Concerning your response about harassment, I need a link to where you’ve asked the user to stop responding to your posts, and a response from them indicating essentially that you can go fuck yourself and they comment as they please. That, or you can use the dismiss and flag tools at your discretion. I’ll make a mental note that any harassment flags from you on this particular user probably need dismissed. Also note, if you dismiss a comment it’s just gone, but if you flag it the Mods have a chance to review the flag and 1) dismiss the comment or 2) clear the flag and put the comment back.
Also, yes the action on the original post and on your post are heavy handed. We are taking a very strict policy on definite and possible sexist posts. We have had internal discussions on what constitutes sexism, and have applied the heavy rulings evenly and fairly in my opinion, even reversing some decisions after discussion. That being said, and this will sound absolutely shitty, Oppositelock is technically “owned” by one user and the Mods allow members and discussions at their discretion. We have the keys to the kingdom and can do as we please regardless of reproach. As I describe it, this is an Iron Dictatorship, and we rule with Iron Dicks. If there is something you truly are not happy with and you have no avenue for addressing your grievances, go to Cigar Lounge. Those fuckers are way more chill.
Also, please feel free to reach out to me if you don’t get traction with other mods. It may be something as simple as they are busy or feel as if they have sufficiently addressed your concern, but I am available to answer questions as much as possible. Sorry for the essay response.

Your mention of a stricter policy on sexism surprised me a bit as the handbook mentions only direct sexism as being punishable, iirc. To extend that to something that is very clearly satirical, construe that as sexism and deal with it thusly is therefor a stretch of your own guidelines and that is why I thought it needed to be publicly addressed.
Speaking of the ownership of Oppo, I think that maybe ought to change hands. If it’s still “owned” by Porsche914-6, he hasn’t contributed in a meaningful way in a LONG time from what I’ve seen and should consider giving it up to someone who is, such as yourself perhaps.

You may be on to something with your review of the handbook, but any discussion on the topic will probably have the handbook revised to include no overt or implied sexism, and then it will be widely open for interpretation as to what is implied sexism.
The best part about Porsche9146 is he doesn’t bother us at all. He could turn Oppositelock into a Porsche picture blog but he doesn’t. I very much enjoy his hands-off out-of-sight-out-of-mind approach.
It appears they did respond to your request, and has now either forgotten your request or is continuing to do so because she did not think you meant it. In either event, dismiss their current comments. If they contact you again, let me know (without dismissing) and I will repeat your request to them in writing. If they fail to acquiesce again I will hand out a 2-week timeout.

As a Mod I will not speculate on previous disciplinary actions against a member of this blog. I’m sure you can use your own experience with them to come to a conclusion. I can however assure you that they will be dealt with in the appropriate manner if they continue to harass you.

It is a dig but it’s far from a cheap shot.
The comment is not dismissed precisely because of the lack of response from the mods. It is up and will stay up for the sake of transparency and posterity.
Whether or not the comment is dismissed and it’s age should not diminish how it is dealt with. Look at how I was treated and look at what you’re doing and tell me it’s fair or equal. It’s not.
I appreciate you taking time out of your day to discuss my concerns with me but I will not disregard or be appeased by an unequitable response, nor will I have saying as much held against me.
