Just saw this rental supercar trifecta down on the street. Sorry for crap photo, I was halfway through a 3 mile run and took it mid-stride. Anyway, Carrera S Cabrio, California non-T, and Godzilla: Whatcha got?

Seems pretty straightforward: burn the Ferrari (I mean, it’s only a matter of time anyway), daily the Porsche and track the GT-R.

+1 for Ferrari self-immolation reference. I posted this mainly to see if anyone has a contrarian opinion. I think yours is the majority and is also what I would pick, but some people seem to really, really dislike the R-35 so maybe it’ll get a few burns.

Yeah, my answer is the same as everyone else’s. I wanted to swap the Porsche and GT-R, but I just couldn’t. Fixed roof will always be superior on the track.

Daily the Italian V8 with a metal roof. Track the Coupe. Burn the car with the engine in the wrong spot.

DD: Prancing Horse, because it’s a California and daily driving is what it does best.
Track: GT-R, because maths and bzz noises from all the go-fast computers.
Burn: The Porsche, only because it belongs on a track but for some reason had the structural rigidity taken clean off the top.

I’m not a big R-35 fan, either, but the California is the worst modern Ferrari.

IMO, the “worst modern Ferrari” is equivalent to being the world’s poorest billionaire. I’m obviously biased though :)

Honestly, if someone gave it to me, I’d just immediately turn around and sell it. I’m sure some people love them, but to me, the styling is terrible and it’s not what a Ferrari should be.
And... cue the FUV introduction.

IDK because the engine is in the wrong spot? That seems to be a turn on for some people around here.

I personally like them. I hear they are a lot of fun to drive too. Things go wrong in the rear but I can forgive it. The Portofino is a much better application of the convertible V8 2+2 formula though.

Wasn’t it under development as a Maerati but Fiat decided it had gotten too expensive and decided it needed to be a Ferrari so they grafted on some Ferrari styling elements? That could explain the looks. Though the new Portofino isn’t exactly a looker either.

Yeah, the California just doesn’t stir my loins at all. I don’t think it looks bad, just...I guess I think it looks like a chick car (as in a car some lady married to a guy with too much money, not a female with good taste). Burn.
The Porsche I’d probably daily, because the convertible-ness is actually fun every once in a while on a twisty road, and the Porsche-ness seems much more liveable than Godzilla. DD
Godzilla is really good at two things: driving around a track, and getting people excited at cars and coffee. Track
