Kinja'd!!!

Pretty straightforward, just curious how you fill one of the most easily accessible storage areas in your car.

I’ve always got wool fingerless gloves, a cashmere scarf, and waterproof phone case. Currently have some water bottles a client left me. Used to carry a pocket knife in there too, but I made an under-the-seat holder for it so it’s accessible with the harness on.

Center console box always has a flashlight, tire pressure gauge, pen, loose change and then whatever items I need to stuff out of sight. Don’t want things flying out of the car when the top’s down!

Kinja'd!!!

How do you glovebox, oppo?

My Outback is absolutely stuffed full of crap. Somehow, having such a tiny car has helped me keep things pared down and easily accessible at a moments notice

Just manuals and paperwork right now. When I finally get around to moving the stuff that was in my old car in, I’ll add a flashlight, some sunglasses, and probably not much else.

Owner’s manual, napkins/tissues, flashlight, pen, pad of paper, small duster for the dash, registration and insurance card, tire pressure gage.

In the center console, spare cell phone.

Glovebox in both cars: Regi, insurance papers, owners manual and tire gauge.

Centre console: None on the CX-3. In the Fiesta ST I have a glass cleaning cloth and a dusting cloth.

Wool gloves, spark plugs, random wrenches that I don’t remember why I thought I’d need them again. Allen wrenches, insurance documents and registration somewhere.

More like where do I keep my glove box:

Kinja'd!!!

I took it out a couple of years ago to install some audio gear, and, well, haven’t gotten around to reinstalling it. I’ve misplaced the shifter boot and bezel (lots available for AT cars, impossible to find for MT versions, and I’m not paying $150 for a new one). Now that winter is approaching I probably won’t reassemble until spring...

Extra sunglasses. Spare fuses, spare headlight bulb, checkbook. Registration, etc.

Center console: ibuprofen, tums, lighter, chap stik, pocketknife, spare set of keys for everything but the car itself, sunscreen (tiny tube), multitool.

Trunk - in side storage area - pliers, adjustable crescent, multi-driver thingy, zip ties, athletic tape.

Under trunk floor - jumper cables, two tow hooks, nylon tow strap, ratchet straps, roof rack tie downs, ropes.

In trunk - wool blanket, gloves, towel, stick for cleaning snow out of wheels after doing donuts in the snow.

Winter time - roof box - plastic shovel and steel shovel, numerous skis/poles and microspikes. (I coach ski jumping)

Wow I keep a lot of crap in my car.

All vehicles have rego/insurance docs in the glovebox. The Niva has spare lightbulbs, hose clamps, that sort of thing. Haven’t really driven it since February, though. The MJ has matches, firestarter, etc, some spare fuses, candles, that sort of stuff. Saint Jimmy’s glovebox is mostly full of receipts for the parts into it, couple spare bulbs and fuses, and the centre console has a couple knives. I’ve got a duffle bag of basic tools and recovery gear that moves between vehicles, depending on what I’m driving.

Insurance, registration, and owner’s manual. Sometimes a phone charger. I usually only carry what I absolutely need.

I also travel light, taking a duffle bag when others have a large suitcases. I don’t buy souvenirs either. But I’m a friendly robot.

Having only recently been a car owner (with my Celica I bought in July), my storage is pretty bare:

-Some napkins and a tire pressure gauge in the glove box

-Gas station receipts in the centre console (keeping track of how much I spend at the pump)

-Spare pair of sunglasses in the top storage cubby (above the radio unit)

Rear hatch though has jumper cables, subwoofer, full-size spare, and some cleaning products and such (just stuff that won’t explode or kill me if stored in extreme heat/cold)

I like to keep my glove box empty. And my boot. The frunk has some stuff in it like jumper leads and a towel that I keep in the car. And the centre storage bin thing has gloves for cold days with the roof off and paracetamol and a glass cloth.
