629k free conventional on an XT, IIRC. And that’s with a packet mux and a NFS client running.

Ah, the simpler life. Rolling fields, sweet-smelling air, the advent of DSL, and the holy combo of Counter Strike 1.6 and NFS Underground 1 if you’re lucky.
And here I am, staring longingly at a page in some Dell brochure.
Just Php60,000+ for their best desktop with i7-7700 and GTX 750Ti. That’s US$1250 and I’ve got myself a mid-tier that can run every game I want to play, plus LDD and Blender, and a whole host of other shit I’ve yet to do because I haven’t experienced that much power before.
