Figured this would make a decent Sunday night discussion topic. What’s your favorite little detail on your car? Maybe it’s a design detail, a little badge, an interior feature, just something small you like about your car.

I absolutely love how Silverado is spelled out on my doors in decently sized individual letters.

Kinja'd!!!

It’s something Chevy has starting doing across most of their lineup recently and I really like it. I do wish I had the “Mark of Excellence” GM badge pre-2010 GMT900 Silverados got though, as dumb as what the badge stood for was.

The FoST isn’t a very “detail” focused car. But for what it has, I do enjoy the front fascia updates over the pre-2015 models and the stock Focus. They’re more subtle than before, but it helps it be a bit more stealth.

Oh...I guess I should also chip in the expected comment. I love the choice in color. Because why just have a single yellow....when you can have triple yellow .

I’ve always liked the way the MC Accents like mine have a character line that runs from sidemarkers down the doors, across the gas cap and to just before the edge of the rear tail-lights. On the Accent hatches, the character line lines up exactly on the rear tail-lights where the turn signal/reverse light line cut across to break up the top and bottom red sections of the light. I also love how the front sidemarkers are molded to the shape of the character line and have an arrow/bullet shape to them.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve also always liked how the MC Hyundai Accent generation hatchbacks ALL came with a rear spoiler over the rear windshield. It wasn’t an option, every Accent hatch of that generation came with it! Adds a nice little it of pizazz :)

A few months later: OK, it’s ugly, but I kinda see what they’re going for.

It sounds insignificant but I like the clock in my corolla. It is separate from the radio which is really nice because I have an aftermarket head unit and I can still always see the time. It also has little hour and minute buttons which make it very easy to change which is nice with daylight savings time.

I’m also a big fan of the gas cap opener. Again small but I think quite elegant. It keeps the cap from lying directly on the paint of the fender and scratching it and is a feature I haven’t seen on any other car.

Toyota seems to have properly thought out quite a lot of my car and I really like that.

The information display at the top of the center console stack. Combined with large manual knobs for climate control and radio that you can operate without looking at them, you can change numerous functions on the vehicle without taking your eyes too far away from the road. On the Fit it’s the “magic seats” they fold flat like a normal hatch back or they fold up. Also you have an open space under the seats for backpacks or a cooler on long trips. The cost is a smaller gas tank but that’s. It a huge problem.
