Mine still works. For now.
Things I’ve done since getting it:
-Windshield washer pump
-Front end links
-Waterpump
- New tires
Things that need to be addressed:
- I need to replace every single brake line sooner than later
- Creaking noise from rear of vehicle
- Replace every speaker (they work but are all blown out)
Things I’m in no hurry to deal with:
- Shitty evap canister thing causing CEL
- ABS and Brake light intermittently come on
- rusty bits
- A/C compressor (still works but noisy)
It’s not perfect, but I bought it to move big stuff and it has performed that task admirably.

The evap purge valve solenoid is an easy fix. Take it off, take it apart, clean it, put it back together.
The ABS/brake light is most likely cracked solder joints in the EBCM. Also a pretty easy fix.

Dude, that EVAP code can absolutely fuck right off. I changed the purge thing at the fuel tank twice, did the relocation, and the light came on again this morning. Apparently there are two cycles, a cold weather and a warm weather and the warm weather cycle triggers mine. Last part I change is the fuel tank pressure sensor, according to the internet that can trigger it. I even dropped the tank to check for leaks and the tank was fine.
For brake lines, find the Dorman part number for your truck. It was like $98 list for the entire kit for my Silverado (EVERY brake line on the truck, pre-bent) in stainless steel.

I still get an intermittent EVAP system small leak code after cleaning the purge valve. The purge valve code hasn’t come back though!
$98 is a great deal for new lines! I grew up in the rust belt, so I’m extremely happy to own a California truck in salt-free (for now) Oregon!
