I was heavily contemplating a used gaming laptop that was in very good condition from Craigslist. It was a $1500 brand new from 1, 1 1/2 years ago, selling for $550. I was the second description.

Not yet. He canceled yesterday because it was raining in the morning. So we agreed on one o’clock today (I still didn’t have his address at this point.) So this morning I emailed him (don’t have his number either although I gave him mine) and he emails me back at 3 telling me he can’t show it today.
At this point it’s either going to be the Galant or the ‘88 F150 I saw today. Which hasn’t been road legal in a few years.

I usually comment about a horror story regarding CL. Had a guy send a few questions about my motorcycle I had posted, he came and saw it the next morning, gave me a $100 deposit, came back this morning with the rest of the cash and left. Was a very pleasant man and good experience!

When I put my R6 up on Craigslist, I listed it for $3600. I expected to sell it for $3k to $3300.
First guy that came to look at it spent a while kicking the tires and generally being bad at trying to convince me it wasn’t worth much.
Finally he wants to talk about price and says “well I have $1900 in the bank right now and I really couldn’t see paying more than $2100 for it.”
I kindly told him to get fucked and sold it for $3300 to the next guy who came to see it.

So far of the dozens of people I’ve contacted, I’ve only been able to arrange two people to meet. I expect this from buyers, but I thought the sellers would be more eager to sell their stuff.

That was my experience when I sold my 92 Civic. People from CL were trying to talk me down a bunch. Then when I was at a friends house one day, his neighbor saw it and wanted to buy it. Sold it for $100 less than I’d listed it for.
