I think I am going laptop shopping later. I taught two classes this morning for farm labor contractor CLE, and I am feeling tired. I took a quick spin on the Vespa to have lunch, which is where I am writing this post.

We had rain last night, but all my Halloween stuff was under cover. I am procrastinating dismantling and packing it up. My mother in law is visiting, and here is her car for automotive content.

Honda CR-V, AWD. I have not driven it.

For Christmas your son should get a set of ramps so you can load the Vespa into the sportrac for trips.

Laptop shopping? I’ve found myself going for the Lenovo X1 carbon, but only when they get the 8th gen processor. The keyboard is divine, now best in the biz since apple superscrewed its new boards, and there’s a place for their pen.

In addition to the X1 Carbon already mentioned, I like the Razer Blade, Surface Book 2, Dell’s larger offerings (which was my choice earlier this year thanks to Bing points), and a few HPs. If you have one nearby, the Microsoft Store is a great place to sample the ones that Microsoft will stand behind and that are Signature editions, that is, no crap fluffware just raw and optimized Windows. The reps are also more knowledgeable (and trustworthy) than other electronic sellers’ employees, in my experience.
