Warm bed, my lovely little lady next to me, our new puppies in their bed off to the side, THE ALARM CLOCK RINGING!!! Traffic because of construction! Forget to eat breakfast or pack a lunch! Rich rednecks at work complaining about China, Russia, Obama, guns, Kaepernick, etc. It’s going to be a long day :’(

In any event, hopefully it will be a successful raid on a 2002 that I already hit up twice last month for various trim.

I have lots of family, coworkers and friends there, all good people. But as a city, it’s just sort of massive and cocky without a lot of good reason. Easy money (oil, low taxes) tends to do that.

LKQ Southwest. They have half-dozen or so 2001-2002 S60s and at least one V70 (supposed to be another, but I’ve never found it).
It was a successful trip, I got that trim piece (actually pulled 3, one the wrong color to test things out and another two to compare condition), plus the trunk floor from a 2002, which seems way sturdier than mine, which is collapsing a bit (hope it fits, since it is different than what I’ve got in my 2006).

Hmm, not as successful as I thought. Seems the 2002 part is slightly differently shaped than the 2006 one. Maybe I do need to buy new.
Trunk floor fits perfectly though, and is vastly better than the original one, aside from needing a little cleaning. Ford cost-cutting apparently did a number on that part (though I’ll admit I have no idea why there’s a big door with no compartment behind it on the floor piece). Well worth $10.

I really do envy you, ULY. Luxury cars, a great home, a beautiful woman in your life and a job where you fix supercars (owned by racists and nazi sympathizers admittedly, which is super-not great but what can you do). I’m grinding my life away against 3 jobs at 75 hrs a week. When I park next to the bosses cars (AMGs, Audis, Boss Stangs and a Jaguar F-Type one time), I wonder if I could get there even with six jobs and just giving up sleep. I try to believe I’m making progress but it sure don’t feel like it sometimes.

After work Saturdays, i’m off to my parent’s place to make as much side cash as possible either fixing my dad’s employee’s vehicles or helping with his business. Sundays are like another work day as well either helping my dad make some proposals for construction jobs or helping my brother with some drafting for a little side cash. My wife has a job now... only works Sat-Sun at a key making booth in a flea market for $30 a day. Any little bit helps and no penny is taken for granted.
If you are ever in the area, i’ll show you around this goofy place :] Once i’m fully committed to Lotus and Aston, i’ll save some warranty returned parts for OPPOnauts :] Interior wood trim, body parts, center caps, emblems, engine parts, carbon pieces, etc :]

Ahh, yes. I know all about that; working super hard for your money only for it to slip through the soup strainer that is the great gaping maw of economic demand. You’d see something similar in my gmail if my financial institution emailed me about low balance alerts. Neither of us are very wealthy, but still you remain richer than I.
Maybe after I get the CDL and I somehow pass through texas I can take you up on that. ‘Meet EL_ULY in real life’ is a bucket list item, right up there with ‘Orlove a beetle with orlove’ and ‘pants Doug DeMuro’.
