Kinja'd!!!

3.5 hours into a 4.5 hour flight. It would be entertain NG to fly one of the old birds, but I imagine you would need a good book or two to go from Atlanta to Portland in a DC-6.

I can remember my grandmother complaining about prop-driven airliners in the late 60s and how noisy and rumbly they were.

Top speed of 311 mph, probably cruse between 250 and 300?

Yeah that would take a while, but you could smoke on the flight and not be bothered with a seat belt.

Air Canada does sightseeing flights every few years in their L10A as a fundraiser, highly recommend if you ever get the chance. Best $50 I ever spent, I think it’s quite a bit more expensive now though.

My dad said it was cool to fly at night and see the exhaust flame spitting in the darkness
