I’ve had my TSX for 5 months (although I barely drove it the entire month of June due to very VERY bad tires and various trips). So far I’ve put over 4000 miles on it and have loved all of them (just rolled over 192k). 4k miles may not sound like much, but I only drove my Lexus 3500 miles in the full year I owned that, so I’ve driven over twice as much in less than half the time. It’s just a fun car to drive and the only repairs I’ve done have been new tires (and a patch for one after I got a little too zealous on a gravel road), fixing a cruise control button (for free) and cosmetics which all total up to $425. That’s a huge difference from my Lexus, which cost me $1600 in repairs alone. My Acura has been problem free and simply a joy to own. So far I’m $4425 into it, or around about what the car is worth according to KBB.

Here’s to many more miles and many more smiles!

Team mid 2000s Acura! I shopped lots of tsx’es but I had to buy soon and the best deal at the time was a TL. Problem free so far

Edit: what Lexus did you have? I also am a former Lexus owner

I had one of these for a very short period of time. It’s a really great feeling car. It’s the right level of power, comfort, sport, and so on.

PS the TL five spokes looks awesome on it.

I had a 98 GS300. By no means a bad car, but my TSX is better in almost every way except build quality and features.

I looked at TL’s but TSX was a better value IMO, plus I got a fantastic deal on mine ($3650, $4000 after tax title and fees). I’d still love one if I had to replace my TSX. They’re quality cars with only a few issues, like the auto trans, weak leather that tears easy, and dashes prone to cracking.

wasn’t yours a rebuilt one? either I feel like I remember you recommending the TSX when I was car hunting.

After a quick google search, those TL 5 spokes do look great

Wow no way I also had a 98 gs300 black on tan. The Acura is better in every way besides build quality (squeaks and rattles).

And I have a cracked dash and a tear in my passenger leather which are to be expected but don’t bother me and brought the price way down.

The Lexus being rwd meant nothing. The TL is massively better handling and has a fraction of the body roll. Much faster, sounds better, and despite slight understeer would destroy the gs on a backroad.

My coworker has a TSX with about 190K and it’s been a pretty solid car, he always parks alongside my RSX. His clutch needs replacing soon along with tires and other things so he may just sell it and buy an IS-F.

My GS was black on tan! What mileage did yours have?

It wasn’t out of place on backroads but it was so much better cruising on the highway

If he decides to get new tires, I strongly recommend BF Goodrich G-Force Sport 2 all seasons (I think that’s the name). Great price for great tires. Clutch I can’t help with, mines an auto. But an IS-F is always a good choice.

YES! Ended up with a jacked up subframe that caused the caster to be way out. Drove straight though. Sold it to get the Abarth and I have no regrets
