I was driving to school behind a new Challenger GT and the top of the trunk is so goddamn high. It is higher from the ground than the bottom of rear window on a RAV4.

Kinja'd!!!

I think they are good looking but could shrink by 20% and still be a big ass musclely car.

I think the AWD raises them about an inch.

Sounds about right, it’s a monster of a car.

I didn’t even know the Challenger had an AWD option.

I took a quick look at the Dodge site... I have to applaud a car in this day and age that has five engine options, four of which are V8s and the smallest is still a V6 of 3.6 litres.

Unfortunately you can’t get the AWD and a V8.

I feel like they get a noticeable lift on the AWD models.

They look straight up ridiculous in little German villages. A few of my co-workers had them when I was over there.

Dodge’s answer to the S60 Cross Country.

I don’t think the lift is as prominent on AWD Chargers, not sure why it’s different.

The layout of the Challenger might be such that they needed to lift the engine to get axles to the front wheels. It might even have just been done with body spacers like the Subaru Outback uses instead of an actual suspension lift.

My son calls them SUVs. I call them 1 1/8 scale cars.

Well, you need to have room for the poop deck, the promenade deck, and, most importantly, the lido deck.

The trunk liftover height is probably the biggest complaint I have with mine. The trunk itself is enormous and the opening is big and rectangular, but you do have to heave things up and into it. Still an improvement over the mail slot my Mustang had, though.

My Volvo is raised an inch or maybe even two on AWD. I don’t really notice it in the handling but over bumps there’s some discernible wobble.
