I brought the 348 home one year ago today. I had an amazing mixture of feelings with that day. Driving from the dealer to my house was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been. When it was finally in my garage, my mind still couldn’t process what happened. My only response was laughter. I would peek into the garage and just start laughing because I was so happy. I would text a friend, and just start laughing. Laughed the whole conversation I had with my brother. It was insane. I’ve never felt like that before.
Anyways, I don’t have time right now to give you a detailed report of the past year but all I can say is that it has been good. Really good. I still get a smile when I look at the car. I already told you the story of events that led to this car so expect a few more stories to come!

hahahhaha! I still love that meme. I got caught in a bit of SoCal rain a few months ago. By that, I mean it drizzled for about 5 minutes. I don’t like being outside in the rain, so I’m never going out of my way to drive in it ;)

It is such fun! We used to hit Bolsa Chica in the morning for surfing after an apple fritter and chocolate milk, then nick’s breakfast burritos for the drive up to Big Bear or Mammoth (less often, and usually for the weekend) and hit the slopes.

I’ve been meaning to keep one in the car haha. I wasn’t really worried until I read the procedure to change the fuel filters. I learned they are mounted adjacent to the exhaust manifolds so any leaks, pretty much all result in fire. Maybe I should order one now :|

Awesome! My issue is I only have a GoPro and phone for filming. I also don’t have any post processing software. I used to make videos back in HS/College and love to edit, but if I can’t do it right, I usually don’t want to do it. I need a friend that can shoot quality video haha

Same here - that video was done with 2 GoPros and a friend’s borrowed gimbal for handheld shots. Editing either in FinalCut or GoPro Studio.
Looking to leverage a friends DSLR, drone and other gimbal setups for any future projects. At the moment its mainly for my enjoyment so there is a point of diminishing returns.

Oh, ok. Makes sense. It is easy to judge through a computer screen. My grammar is terrible for a native English speaker, but I do normally check to make sure I use the correct words on an ad. Carry on. haha

Well good luck with the hunt! I see VW is running 0% on new ones. Maybe check what the CPO inventory is like, too. I’ve had great luck with my VW but I also take care of it. Warm up/down for the turbo, maintenance is always up to date, etc. I also don’t get super worried when something little pops up from time to time.
