I was able to go up in a single engine plane for the first time. My friend is part owner of a Cessna 172 STOL and was going up to take some photos. Good times.
I really enjoyed it. I’d like to look into training hours and licensing, even if I never buy one of my own.

Really good times. There’s nothing like going up in a small plane. It feels nothing like being in a big commercial airliner.

Do it! It’s challenging and rewarding. It’s not cheap, so you’ll want to do your homework to figure out how to pay for it first, but it’s doable.
And what a gorgeous day that looks like for a flight!

Yeah this is generally a windy area, especially in the afternoon, and it as so calm. I couldn’t believe how smooth it was. Thanks for the info!

Agreed! I fly almost weekly for work, and even a Twin Otter or some other “small” commercial plane in Alaska feels completely different from this.
