EDIT: I was wrong, it was the exact cladding the Expedition used. False alarm, my bad.

99% sure I saw the new Bronco this morning in heavy cladding on M53 near the Ford proving grounds around Romeo MI at 7am this morning. At first I thought it was a still camouflaged expedition but it was then clearly way too short/different taillights, then the front end had F150 headlights and I’m pretty sure 4 doors (expected), but hard to tell. Imagine this, basically, with 4 doors:

Curious because it’s not due out until late 2020/early 2021 and they wouldn’t have prototype vehicles out until 18-24 months pre-SOP. So maybe it’s not the Bronco at all, but it sure looked like a fixed roof SUV, even in the pitch black, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a factory tested bed cap (so the Ranger, due out end of next year would have all the prototype phase vehicles complete by now and production plant built vehicles starting up).

Should have tried to get a picture but being pitch black with no ambient light from any civilization and the way the cladding appeared in the dark it wouldn’t have been useful anyways.

I am expecting 4 doors because the Wrangler Unlimited/Wrangler Clubman sells better than the regular Wranlger. I want too it seems almost like a new 1990 Ford Explorer, but the Explorer was Ranger based not F150 based. Also was it maybe a test mule or a Ford Everest?
