“The Drift Stick connects to the car’s systems electronically instead: when pulled, it opened up the rear-drive unit clutches, and has hydraulic pressure applied to the rear wheels so as to lock them up. That way you get drift, but without any use of the clutch.”

“It’ll go up for sale on December 1, priced at $999 complete with the aluminum lever, the mounts for that, and the circuit board. The Focus RS’ warranty will be unchanged if you install it.”

The catch is that it flat spots your tires. And then you have to go to the dealer to get special made tires for the RS.

That’s it? That’s all the kit is comprised of? I wonder what a non-Ford-branded version would sell for. Aftermarket, do your thing!

If I’m understanding it correctly it is a switch. A switch that declutches the rear drive unit so it is decoupled from the engine and at the same time actuates the rear brakes through using the ABS pump. From what I saw the stick mounts to your center console and plugs into the OBD2 port. There is absolutely no mechanical connection to the brakes or drivetrain.

Sounds like it requires programming, so it’s also a pro-cal tool, software, and the calibration. Don’t know if the aftermarket will be able to program the brake stuff.
