I think possessed toasters play by their own rules.

So the displayed clip is an animated GIF, right? It’s about 4 seconds long. If it were 30 fps, that would be about 120 frames, right? Would this DB GIF have been edited frame-by-frame? What kind of app will allow this editing?

I seem to recall that GIMP allows editing of each frame, one at a time, as does Photoshop, and likely some other programs. Setting the item to be added or used to block out existing material as a separate layer and copying it to each frame, then erasing elements out of the layer or moving it as needed, would be my guess as the best way to do it, but I’m not an expert.

There are surely some go-fasters, but it would be laborious.

Still, aren’t we talking about a max of 120 frames or so and wouldn’t we be talking about editing only a fraction of those? In the case of your image, probably not more than 20 or 30 frames. Very doable.

I’m going to make a DB GIF very soon and it will be a superior offering, particularly for a first effort.
