One of a kind! One of these sold recently for $100k! One of these statements can’t be true!

Apparently it was special made for a railroad company. But that doesn’t make it any less sketchy.

Drop a zero off the price of that truck and we can talk

yep read that.... still trying to figure out why a railroad would need a 3 door (i mean... just getting a 4 door and not using one of them seems a lot easier... and cheaper probably)

I don’t think they made four doors back then.

Is something like this dealer-installed that much better than if it were done by a hack? It’s not like he was using manufacturer approved guidelines. He was just cutting a hole and welding on some hinges.
Like a hack

Railroad company didn’t want it. They didn’t want to be associated with a train wreck.

They did make some four-doors back then, but they were special order coach-ey things just like this is, for linemen and railroad companies. It *is* quite rare, but...

Yeah crew cab trucks weren’t really a thing till the 70s, aside for some rare cases, and even then they were very rare and only 1 tons.

I’ve seen pictures of various types of these “railroad trucks”, so they’re a real thing, and definitely rare, but this one looks pretty rough, especially for the asking price.
Edit: this is within an hour from me, I really want it. Still couldn’t afford it at half the price though.

Exactly... one of what, exactly? Is he thinking of that ICON Ford dropped on a Ram drivetrain?

In the seller’s mind, this is what he has:
