Wife: “Should we take the bigly Honda, or the bigly Honda?”

Husband: [sobs uncontrollably]

Wife: “You’re right. I’ll get the Oddessey out of the garage.”

I deeply want to believe there is an S2000 and an NSX in the garage. I’m wrong tho the only thing in that garage is golf clubs, and tennis rackets that haven’t been used in years.

Driveway banked to scrape exhausts and bumpers,  and ubiquitous prairie muntins. I’ll guess the Mill Creek-Bothell metropolitan area.

I’ll allow it. Seattle Hill Road, which is somehow incorporated city of Snohomish, even though it’s maybe 2 miles outside of Mill Creek and still west of Cathcart.

My mom drives a 2005 MDX which she bought new, in cash, and still has.

She considered the Pilot, and would’ve preferred the “regular” Honda badge to the “snobby” Acura badge, but at the time a memory function for the power driver’s seat was only available on the MDX.

She needed the memory for the driver’s seat, because she’s got a bad back and has to be able to recall the seat to her absolutely-perfectly-dialed-in position if anyone else ever drives her car.

So she reluctantly went with the Acura. Even though it’s more of a luxury brand image than she wants to project.

Says the lady who along with my dad has 2 houses, one of which is a ~3700 sq ft vacation house with a pool, this view out back, and 2 boats.

Kinja'd!!!

The car is perpetually dirty inside, the passenger door pocket is over-stuffed with any and every takeout menu for every restaurant within 15 miles of both of my parents houses, and it’s been through countless minor fender benders, many of which involve a collision with the side of a garage.

Wouldn’t want to be too fancy.

There’s a very small section down highway 2 after Gold Bar that’s technically King County. Zoning is weird

My dad owns a 2012 MDX, after trading in his 2001 MDX. Before that he owned an Integra, and before that a Legend. But once the grandkids starting popping out, my parents went the bigly route. Which is great, because my dad would throw out his back if he tried to get into an Integra today.

Large chunks of unincorporated Woodinville are also in Snohomish county. And unincorporated Snohomish (city) runs west to Mill Creek, north to Granite Falls, northeast of Monroe itself, and south to Woodinville.

That new Acura grille looks so much better without the beak. I don’t understand why it took them so long to fix that styling mistake when everyone was pointing at its nose, year after year, like Adrien Brody’s junior high classmates.

Hey Zoidberg, been a while, we had another kid and I fell off the map. Dunno if you remember but I’m in Fremont. Anyways, my M5 is in the shop and got this little rental beaut for the week. Calling her Blue Hoon, but open to suggestions on the name.

Why are all drive ways so small and narrow like this? I don’t get it, we’re looking to buy a house and all the drive ways are tiny and we have a total of 4 cars its wonky, how the parking is being set up now a days.

You must be a slow careful parker, unlike many locals :)

My mom’s driveway has a similar banking in the transition from street to parking area. Modern cars are fine if you crawl, but my old car scrapes at rear if you enter at more than about 1/2 mph.

Wishful thinking. It’s an Odyssey “for when the relatives visit.”

The MDX is the “sporty, edgy” car for the dude because he’s not allowed to buy anything with fewer than 4 doors and five seats.

The car enthusiast in me died a little looking at that fleet.

At least the Acura looks cool, comparatively.
