Kinja'd!!!

*Hypothetically* if one is an SCCA Member who drives a Honda and can provide “race” results from officially-sanctioned events... Wouldn’t one qualify? Link to their eligibility document.

What do you mean by “race?” They’re pretty lax about it, I became a member when I was doing the engine conversion on my Formula F and I only gave them about half of the bullet points they asked for.

Autocross in a Honda Fit. Or, better yet, a Type R swap for a Toyota MR2 in autocross (with other Honda upgrades too). If they’re flexible, then I’m going to seriously consider both options.

The last sentence says it’s not for street driven vehicles. So that’s going to exclude a lot of Solo cars; I’m guessing that’s your hope.

I RallyX in an 1992 Accord and im a member. I wondered the the same thing and sent it in anyways. They send you a bunch of stickers and a hat so its worth it but some of the parts on their site aren’t that much of a discount but it is genuine Honda parts. They do have you fill out a waver saying that implies that you are respectful of the Honda brand and CYA stuff and thats it

Autocross is typically not considered racing. Nowhere in the official Solo Rulebook does the SCCA refer to Autocross as a “race”. So that’s maybe a stretch.

As a member, I appreciate the discount. But, it’s supposed to be for your race car and not your street car. If you to use your discount for parts for your street car, note that the HPD staff manually enters your order into the system and calls you for a credit card number.

Soooo if you enter an order to replace your rusted out ‘07 Si muffler, they will probably politely suggest you stop wasting their time.
