Kinja'd!!!

I’m noticing that some 2013-15 GS 350s are pushing down towards 25 grand once they breach 50-100k miles, with or without AWD.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

For whatever reason, I like these pre-facelist GSs. Especially love the amber lenses on the rear (long live amber!). It’s not overly styled, and it doesn’t look like a futuristic cheese grater upfront, which is kind of what the current GS-F makes me think of.

My brother’s previous job — not tooooo dissimilar from what I’m doing now — gave him a vehicle allowance (used a commuter and also for work), and he used it to buy an 2011 IS350 AWD. So I’ve thought about what I would do if I had a job with a similar perk. I think I’d go with an 2011 E91, 2013 GS 350, or maybe an IS-F. Keeping the miles off the Sportly and the longbed, you know.

I’m still curious as to what it is you do.

I have a 2015 with the f sport and AWD. It’s a fantastic highway cruiser, and has been perfectly reliable. The 6 speed slush box doesn’t like to play, and of course it understeers, but it’s a good car.

Back seat room is less than you’d expect, and the one really dumb thing is that the back seat is completely fixed - not so much as a ski pass through.

Backseat can’t be as small as my IS, though. You can’t have tall friends, buff friends, or bigly friends back there.

True. The GS back seat is passable, just seems small for the size of the car, that’s all

I think for a good Toyota backseat on a sedan, you’d have to go Avalon or LS460

That’s probably right. Even some of their SUVs aren’t very roomy in the back.

Does yours have the stupid hump on the driver’s side of the transmission tunnel where the transfer case or something else to do with the awd system is located? I remember test driving a previous-gen GS350 AWD and that damn hump kept brushing on my leg.

YES! I have no idea what the hell is up with that. I noticed it on the test drive and decided it didn’t bother me obviously (I’m not a big guy), but it just seems idiotic to have it on that side, unless it was put over there because they’re mostly JDM RHD cars.

Is the hump absent on the RWD models?

Sorry, but I live in Chicago, and we don’t get RWD GS 350s at all. So I’m not sure —

Unlikely

It’s definitely something to do with awd and not on the rwd ones.
