Potential client today asked me about my philosophy for trying cases. This was after a long discussion about teamwork, so I couldn’t use my standard “one riot, one ranger” line. So I went to my backup line — “My approach to trying cases? I’ve come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I’m all out of bubble gum.” They didn’t get it. I then had to explain that the line came from a movie and then had to explain the plot of the movie and then had to explain who Rowdy Roddy Piper was. I don’t have a good feeling about landing this case.

Fun fact: the hand museum where I work has a bronze casting of Andre’s hands. Just the hands are imposing.

Well, the hospital has this display off the atrium. A prominent hand surgeon made busts of famous people’s hands. You wouldn’t believe who is represented there: astronauts, artists, politicians, Nobel prize winners, athletes...
