To be fair its not their worst ad by a long shot, but yeah.
Maybe Im also a little miffed that not only is the RAV4 (Recreation Activity Vehicle 4 wheel drive ) available as a 2 wheel drive but that they also felt that they needed an “adventure grade” model to bring it back up to minimum RAV...THATS ALSO AVAILABLE AS A 2WD!!! Yes, the RAV4 Adventure Grade FWD....

You can also order the 4 runner in 2 wheel drive.
A few years ago when I still lived in NYC, Toyota chose, OF ALL VEHICLES, the Rav4 to display with a rooftop tent and an “agility course” of steel ramps and off-camber bumps. It takes a special kind of marketing to forget that you sell the 4Runner and the Tacoma while deciding to showcase the Rav4.

I suspect there is a large overlap on the diagram of people who romanticize adventure, who live in New York City, and you genuinely think a RAV4 is an adventure machine.

it used to mean something. In fact the C.diff switch in our trucks is the same part number as the one in the 1st gen manual rav4. Did the same thing too.
