Kinja'd!!!

Day 4 and I’m still not used to it. It’s been a while since I’ve driven a Suburban but I don’t recall it being nearly as difficult. Goes back to Avis tomorrow. Overall this truck is a good value for what Ford charges, but I don’t like it all that much. I’m glad I got to try it it for the price of an intermediate, though.

interesting - the few times I’ve rented Tahoes I was surprised how relatively easy they are to park. I can’t really tell you why, they just seem to be where I want them to be, where other cars, (my wife’s old Altima, etc) just seemed more difficult to get straight or close the curb, etc.

The sheer mass of those vehicles bends space and time to make it look like you parked between te the lines nice and straight.

I find driving anything as big and lumbering as an SUV terrifying in modern traffic. About 5-6 years ago I started noticing that it was hard to keep up with traffic in my 10-11 year old car, today I just won’t do it. The proliferation of CUVs and cars with far more power than ever before are driving true SUVs (like this) and large cars out of the market better than even CAFE emissions standards.

I loathe that “too light” steering and accelerator pedal found in every truck based GM product
