Link from i09. ‘It Follows’ is literally a creature that follows you and when it catches you it kill and humps you at once. So weird. ‘Train to Busan’ is almost comedic though probably better than the others on the list. Are there really any scary movies anymore? Seems they’re funny, really stupid or just a gore flick.

eh... ill probably watch em all at some point when im bored... some of them will probably amuse me greatly
i mean... hell.. i watched a flick about ron jeremys dick getting possessed by aliens and murdering a bunch of people and was entertained
im a pretty easy audience :p

I love a good horror movie. I highly recommend The Babadook from Australia, I think it’s still on Netflix.
Other than that, the occasional gem like The Ring are about all that get my attention.
I hated Saw (yeah, I finally got around to watching it a couple weeks ago). And I’m not a huge fan of Hostel and the like.
Dark horse recommendations:
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
and
Cabin in the Woods
are both awesome horror/scifi/comedy genre-benders.

It really is pretty masterful — they rip on the horror genre a lot better than “Scary Movie,” all while still creating an actual movie with a plot along the way.
