Your next challenge is to find two beige Camry’s of the same vintage with the obligatory Camry dent on the same side of the rear bumper.

Sometimes I find myself stopped at an intersection and see 2-3 other second-gen Fits at the same intersection, and it feels like driving around Liberty City in GTA3 when a particular type of car becomes popular among non-player traffic.

Once I stopped at a light and two random smarts appeared out of nowhere. Like, two smarts in one place? Sure! But three randos all at the same light, same side, in the front line?

Went to a food festival a few towns over. Parked the car, got out, discovered I was one of five Outback XTs parked on the block. I can go weeks without seeing another one and here were five in the space of a football field

Speaking of impossible... I saw a Sable wagon the other day! I thought only the Taurus got the long roof. I was amazed. My girlfriend was not amused.

I’m more shocked that you found not one but TWO Sables/Taurii that don’t have a sagging rear suspension.

Now this is a glitch. Impalas? Sure, they’re a dime a dozen. Identical Sables, right down to the trim line and color? HOW BIZARRE, HOW BIZARRE

Still not as weird as the double Suzuki SX4s I saw driving home from work last week.

I might see one Outback a day, but then I go hiking or climbing on a Saturday and it’s every third car. If you ever wanted to commit massive Subaru vandalism, just announce a free Dave Matthews Concert and organic food festival in Denver.

Regular Outbacks are everywhere here, but the XT trim (WRX motor) is super rare. They only sold about 20,000 total in North America. That’s half the number of BRZs that have been sold, or about the same as the number of Chevy Volts sold each year (actually a few thousand less than that)

Wow, if you had asked me if the Outback XT even existed, I would have said no (I assume it’s basically the Outback version of the Legacy GT). I see the occasional Forester XT, which is cool. In most of the US, even having a Subaru is pretty rare to begin with. Where I live (Birmingham), we have one dealer to serve about 1.5 million people and he’s in an urban area, not the typical suburban auto mall locations like everyone else. For comparison, we have three VW dealers... Not that dealers make or break a sale, but the fact that I haven’t even driven a Subie since I sold a bugeye WRX in 2004 is definitely affected by dealer locations and lack of used car lot choices (eg CarMax)
