I can’t help but think of the greatest public access TV show of all time. Not quite Ferndale, but close.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Also, this B&B is really cool. I am tucked away in the Hideaway Room, which has a little patio and a loft.

Nope. I would not be staying in that B&B.

I’m nervous looking at those pics, there’s no way I’d close my eyes there, nevermind sleeping.

I’ve yet to really understand why ferndale is considered a noteworthy place, to me it just seems like a suburb of fortuna with a couple businesses. That being said I’ve yet to spend any considerable time there. Sidenote: I live ‘bout 30-40 miles from ferndale

Not into the B&B, but I personally believe Ferndale is the most scenic area along the coast in that far northern section of CA... So spectacular that I remember the name and know exactly where it is.

Are you doing something in Eureka, or is it a vacation?

I’m not sure, either. For some reason it’s bigger on maps. Fortuna is also spectacular, being adjacent.

That area is lovely. It also contrasts quite strikingly against the ugliness of the Eureka area (although Arcata itself is cute, the area between it and Eureka is one of the ugliest parts of the coast until you hit Eureka, which is the worst).

Ferndale means something quite different to me...

Clearly not the Ferndale I was thinking of which I clicked this lol. Michigan has one too, just north of Detroit. Cool little downtown area right on Woodward.

Imo Eurekas just slightly nicer than it looks, which is a very low bar
