I can now say that I’ve seen the Corn Palace, it’s pretty neat.
Every gas station I’ve seen here has only had these two options: 87 with ethanol or 87 without ethanol. Not a car enthusiast’s best case scenario, but we’re driving my dad’s Fusion so NBD.
On the plus side, the speed limit is 80mph.

My grandparents used to live on the corner two blocks down the street from the Corn Palace (or corny place as we used to call it). We could see the front mural from their living room. They change the mural every year, but you probably saw the pictures if you went inside.
They moved to a retirement home in Sioux Falls to be closer to the rest of our relatives (my parents and us kids moved to Texas, long ago).

South Dakota is high on my list of places I’d live if my wife ever lets us leave God-forsaken Oregon... Take the scenic Badlands loop, stop at Wall Drug, go to the Mt. Rushmore visitor’s center, see Crazy Horse, and definitely go to the Pioneer Auto Museum! My sister’s husband just got orders to Ellsworth AFB by Rapid City. Wide open spaces, low cost of living, beautiful scenery... I’m jealous.

91 isn’t too hard to find, most BP and Shell stations have it, but Caseys only carries 87 for some strange reason.
Good luck pheasant hunting! Numbers are pretty down this season but there’s still a few birds out there.
