Like for real? It’s 2017 and you’re still putting your phone to your ear and driving?
We all know how bad this is and yet today I saw an awesome little JCW with an asshat driver. He swerved into my lane and back to his, I passed him to get away from the asshat and I see that he has his phone to his ear. Motherfucker you have bluetooth, use it. It’s like when people don’t use the automatic headlight setting, it’s there, fucking use it so everyone else can stay safer.

Not saying I don’t want the tech.. I just like how my standard radio sounds and looks. I am working on the newer car in which i usually use Bluetooth but whatever.

Bluetooth sucks (garbled, distorted, laggy) and some of us know how to talk and drive. Because we’re old and we’ve been doing it for 20 years. I do use Bluetooth in the car...for music only.
I still believe there needs to be a “multitasking test” that limits what people can do while driving.

My car is 38 years old, from a time when cell phones were unheard of by most. I still use Bluetooth when driving, with a simple, inexpensive Bluetooth headset. Anyone that can afford the phone can afford a headset. Doesn’t have to have perfect clarity, it just needs to keep both hands on the wheel.
With that said, a lot of folks out there can’t drive straight while talking, Bluetooth or no. I have zero patience for people texting while driving or holding their phone up to their head to talk. If it’s that important and you can’t do it safely, PULL OVER.

I also find this irksome. I see it a lot on luxury vehicles like X5 and Range rovers. I KNOW its there, but my guess is they can’t figure out how to use it or it doesn’t work well.

When I see someone changing lanes without indicating chances are they’re driving a BMW, or are holding a phone up to their ear with thier left hand and can’t be bothered to hit the stalk.
Pisses. Me. Off.
Last one was in a brand new Mazda3. Bitch, I can SEE the fucking tablet sticking out of your dash that is a sure sign you got bluetooth.

I see it daily around Seattle, texting too. Washington state passed a law making it illegal but I’m guessing the fines aren’t severe enough and/or LEO aren’t enforcing it. It’s like having thousands of drunk drivers out on the road.

My biggest issue with Bluetooth is that half the neighborhood can also hear your conversation. When I talk while driving (rare) it’s usually my mom, phone to ear...but truth be told I’m not paying attention to her in the slightest (sorry Mom). Anyone else and I’ll pull over. She’s just so new to texting that she will literally send 35 texts in a row on my 5 mile commute home and I can’t take it - she’s easier to ignore if she’s talking.
