Headed to Humboldt to meet with some dairy farmers, who produce one of Humboldt’s lesser known agricultur commodities. It is 460 miles away, and I am driving. There is no reasonable way to get there by plane. I will be staying in a gingerbread mansion.

This is my second haunted hotel of 2017.

“WHERE: The Gingerbread Mansion
WHY: The building was once used as a hospital and the spirits of several deceased patients are rumored to still be in residence. The inn is on several national travel publications’ lists of haunted American inns.”

An 8 hour drive is where my Infiniti shines.

If you enjoy too much of Humboldt’s better-known ag products, EVERY place can seem haunted. Did you guys hear that? Is someone knocking on the door? Is it Eli Roth pitching his movie again?

The coolest thing I’ve ever done with gingerbread was repurpose the sheets of a gingerbread house kit for a gingerbread TARDIS.

I was up in that area camping this summer. Very weird vibes in that whole area. Lots of makeshift properties in the woods as well. Lotta weird people, and not weird in a cool way. Weird in a you might try to eat me way. Perfect place and time to spend the night in a haunted hotel.

My house has had some very strange things happen in it. A friend won’t housesit anymore because it freaked her out so much.
