Since it coincided with my vacation last weekend, and the hotel I was at was a hot spot for annoying ass kids Pokemon, I caught all the new Gen3 mons the first night, and evolved the rest.
Caught this thing first try somehow
And just a week after finding my FIRST shiny (a Magikarp, of course) this popped up:
And oh yeah, I’ve caught about a billion and a half of these... even snagged TWO this morning dropping the kids off at school:
Their spawn rates are INSANE, I wish they had done the other special Pikachus like this. I already have a pretty stout hatted Raichu, but no hatted Pichu. And I’m all out of 2k eggs.

I’ve had a Houndoom for a while, evolved some time ago. And I think I’ve caught most of the special ones. I already had a Gengar. But it’s nice that they’ve refreshed it. I’m not rabid about playing, but it is a nice little thing to keep busy with.

And I haven’t seen a witch pikachu yet.
We actually have a truce at my office between a group of about 6-7 of us who play as to who gets the hold the gym and when. We maximize our coin collection this way and everyone gets a cut.

Gengar was my first major evolution. Not sure why but I just wanted one the most. Walked around with a Haunter for a long time to get enough candy back when they first put in the buddy system.

That’s pretty smart. I wish there was a gym nearby I could keep feeding.... there’s a few on my commute I get lucky enough to catch a red light at so I throw one in if there’s room. I barely battle or do raids.

I had never played Pokemon until my son got into it a few years ago. If you’re a turn based rpg fan they are right up there in terms of quality and content. With the added benefit of a completely customization party.

yeah the system we have in place works pretty good. one team takes the gym first thing in the morning. other team knocks out the first team at about 4:50 to collect over night. We pretty much get our max 50 coins every day because of it and don’t have to worry about trying to get other gyms.
Thankfully the blue team only has 1 person on it and they don’t care about holding the gym, they just like collecting the pokemon.
We have a gym and 2 pokestops at work so we get to farm all day if we want and also get raid battles here.

Same. My GPS signal bounces me around sometimes, I’ve hatched 2km eggs just sitting still. I leave the game running while driving so sometimes it’ll pick up a few tenths of a km in slower traffic, stop lights, etc.
When I do get out and go for a walk/hike/bike ride its always in places that get shitty signal so the game doesn’t work well anyways.

I used to ride 10mi/day regularly, and would clamp the phone to a holder on the handlebars. Pretty routinely, after 10 miles, it would barely register anything at all. I wonder if it uses the pedometer more than the GPS to track distance. Next time, I’ll try riding with the phone in my pocket.

Haha. My son is completely obsessed with pokemon. We’re playing the old Pokemon Fire Red on a TV emulator. He also has access to all the TV Shows and Movies. He’s going to be Ash for Halloween. I might go as Professor Oak.

Spearow isn’t bad against bugs which is like half of what I’ve been facing. But yeah it’s pretty weak. I evolved it to Fearow and it totally wrecked Misty so there’s that. My golden goose lol.
