I’ve had MR2's for 10 years. I’ve only been caught in the rain once. You’re right in that the faster you go the drier you are... but I had to replace the carpet afterwards. Never again.

My god. You must have caught quite a lot of water. I give it up and put the roof on when I realize I’m done for.
I’ve had t-top cars for 6 or so years. I’ve been caught in the rain in them all. Once when I had a Z31 300ZX, I took it down the coast at nighttime with the roof off. 40 minutes in the car, everywhere was wet but I never got rained on. I have a friend who once had an old rotary Mazda RX-3 that would shoot flames and backfire, ran into him on the highway, the bang scared the living shit out of me.
That was a night to remember.

If I’d be able to get to it with a hair dryer I think it would have been okay.. as it was it had to sit outside at my parents for a couple of weeks in the rain and it got mildew..
