In my never ending quest for the perfect car, the main contender has been a Soul turbo. However, after a (Doug?) post about used k900s I started researching those. I do like it but fear it may be overcompensating coming from a Miata. Which led me to the cadenza, which I also quite like (quilted leather!) as a more reasonable alternative. Which led me to the stinger, which I have been quite excited about and think looks rather dashing. But now! I ended up looking at the g70 and it is beautiful, almost giulia level pretty but should start most of the time. I hadn’t paid attention to the genesis spin off really but hearing that the g70 will be a smaller stinger with an available manual, I’m incredibly aroused and this might be the new front runner in a year or two.

I don’t know if it’s confirmed 100% but I read in one review that Hyundai US requested it and others mentioned it will have an available manual but only with the 2.0t.

Definitely. I had been planning on waiting for a lightly used loaded stinger or g70 to drop into my price range but with hopefully a manual available on the base model I might go brand new on this instead.

I think that’s a bad call just like what gm did with the ats. Could only get a stick on the underwhelming 2.0t and the overall package just didn’t feel right. I want the ttv6 with a stick

Either way it’ll be a great package. Interior and exterior are on point, both engines are solid, and if they are wise itll be priced to undercut the 3/C/a4 and rain on the q60 and TLX’s parade as the slightly more affordable option.

Yeah this is my new top contender for next car, either a brand new manual 2.0t or wait and get a lightly used loaded v6, or possibly the stinger gt.
