Still impresses me more and more. I don’t know what’s going on but I hope another car keeps me this entertained. The WK2 is crossing into uncomfortably reliable territory and I’m becoming paranoid. The XF is finally growing on me. Good garage is feeling gooder.

Is the one pictured yours? I’ve never driven one, but to look at it, the Amanti has always been one of my favorite sedans. It’s like a three-quarter-scale full-on luxury sedan. They don’t get great dependability reviews, but there’s plenty of glass to see out through which, in this day and age, is a precious commodity.

Looks like a nice specimen. What year is it and how many miles?

These things are likely dead reliable. My only problem was with the styling on the front end, which is uncomfortably like a Studebaker Lark, if I recall correctly.

I remember when these came out, I’ve never driven one. That interior looks very nice, and appears to have held up very well. +1 for a cool and obscure car!

Looks like they were combining their favorite features from all over the place... the door-mounted seat controls are very Mercedes, the center stack is very Jaguar/Lexus, etc. I also love the clock in a place where the nav would be... was navigation not an option at that point?

No Nav in the US. The goal was to keep the flagship premium sedan under $30,000 fully loaded. You could option in this fancy digital display though.
