Expensive Italian supercar vs pedestrian Japanese crossover. Guess which one blew an engine during a photoshoot today? Pic dump coming tomorrow. Video after the break.

Is that the greatest small SUV in the world, or is it just a Tribute?

I honestly don’t know but might need an Escape at some point.

Between this post and the one about the reliable Maserati BiTurbo, we see how once-off anecdotes don’t tell the whole story. The Tribute probably has 10x the mileage and isn’t cared for nearly as well as the big bull - does that make the Lambo more reliable?
Cool though!

The Tribute has far more than 10x the mileage, but oddly enough it was driving along just fine, it got oil changes on a regular basis and all the rest of it. Then a rod bearing just said “lol bye”. Had plenty of oil, no warning whatsoever. Didn’t overheat or anything. Bizarre.

That is bizarre. And that’s something supercars are usually more prone to - spontaneous breakage despite regular maintenance.
