Didn’t hit my goal time, but that’s ok. Training didn’t go perfect, but even if it had, parts of that course where too narrow and bunched up the runners. I was a minute a half off pace for the first 3 miles just on account of crowding.

We do both. They dropped us in the middle of the ocean once, had a couple divers to follow.

No, they sit on floats, and Navy folks pull them where they need to go.
In all seriousness, the Marines staffing the event and volunteering along the course we’re all awesome. Every single one.

My boat is at the marina right by the Pentagon. As we were heading out to fish (after driving in circles to navigate the closed roads) we could hear the announcer congratulating finishers.
Then we went and caught about 40 catfish. It was a beautiful day for a boat ride, hopefully it was a beautiful day for a run too. Congrats!

It would have to depend on the food.
I’m generally, if someone is giving it away, it can’t be all that good, in the most part anyway.

After I embraced powerlifting and left the crotch I thought now more running for me either. But then I got these guys, and I like when my wife is not mad at me for my dogs behavior.
So I have to run about 4 miles everyday to get them calm and docile for the day.

So how did you do? The trick is to start slow anyway, and make up the time on the back side.
