Maybe I’m missing something. Why is there no security upfront?
Why would the driver of the car edge into traffic if there was a possibility of getting separated from the three security vehicles behind?
One security car should be upfront to check the way ahead so if there was a chance of losing the protectee they could plan another route.
Really shoddy work.
Though judging by the open top transport I’m guessing not a high security high threat protectee. More attention seeking celebrity pleb.

Oh don’t even get me started on the Trumps, I don’t even live in New York City and never have but the fact that he’s insisting on keeping a family residence there is costing us as taxpayers an absurd amount just in upfront security costs not to mention the exponentially larger value of the time he’s wasting for countless New Yorkers.
The roads in Washington DC were planned around presidential motorcades coming from and going to the White House so they don’t cause a big disruption. A motorcade causes absolute fuckery in New York.

You’ve got a point in normal traffic situations, usually just letting someone merge is quicker for everyone than trying to play chicken. Here it’s the principal, if everyone as wealthy and powerful as Drake thought they needed a motorcade for “safety” it would constantly cause problems, there are hundreds of celebs at his level. If he was actually concerned about safety and not looking baller he’d be better off in a nondescript black S-Class anyway. And don’t try to say he’s in a droptop Maybach to interact with fans because you can clearly see his goon shooing a fan away at the beginning of the video.

I didn’t even realize who it was in the car. My only point is that with all the crowing the guy does in the video, all the “you’re not getting in front of me” nonsense, they got in front of him. Right of way or not, he got himself all wound up only to be right where he would have been had he just paused for 10 seconds and let the guys go in the first place.
