I did lifehackers “what city you should live in” thing. link . And one of my results.
I also got a couple other cities in Michigan, but I specified mild weather. And from what I hear winters in Michigan are no where near mild.
I’m pretty sure the illumaniti just wants me to move there. So if the leaded water doesn’t kill me, the winter will.

I suspect they’re referring more to mild vs extreme heat. All mine ended up way further south than I’d be comfortable. Eventually I tweaked it enough and got Idaho Falls and Rapid City, which is at least closer to reality for me than Amarillo or Santa Fe. It did list the Bronx and a ton of California cities as “worst” for me which is at least somewhat accurate.
I would consider Michigan fairly mild weather... It’s snowed here a couple times per week since the end of September. Nothing’s stuck around yet but soon.

think i’ll stay over here in the netherlands... recomendations be damned
(also... if you want mild weather... i have a spare room here.... most years we only have 3 seasons spring summer and autumn.... winter turns up sometimes... but it tends to just be a couple weeks tops... i miss getting lots of snow)

It would be more interesting to enter where you do live and see how the system ranks it. I’m in Austin, and I like it pretty well, but this thing wants me to live in the PNW.

Not super familiar with Austin, but having lived in the PNW for 3 years they’re pretty similar. Just cooler weather and more homeless people.

Well the street racing scene there is pretty decent and Frankenmuth isn’t far.
As an ex resident of Flint that’s the best I can give it. Thank goodness my parents moved when I was young. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Plenty of homeless people here. I think they come for the mild winters and liberal city government. Traffic is really shirty here, though. The city is growing considerably faster than the infrastructure.

yea MI winters arent mild. But flint is east side. The west side is worse because we get lake effect snow
