Got to wrench on the car for the first time in awhile last night. Felt good. I frigging love lifts. Quiet night in the shop and we had an open bay after sending a few cars home to their owners after dyno tuning was done.
SKF Tracker Corvette hubs, the f-body hubs are a common failure with stickier compounds in auto-x and road race applications so I decided to be proactive.

good looking car you got there... also.. interesting shop i do believe i spy with my little eye what appears to be a hotrod (well... part of one) dont really see those over here... wouldnt be able to get it road legal in a million years

Yeah, this one wouldn’t be road legal either. It’s a drag car, we have the front end off for servicing.

Youre in Holland? Why wouldnt you be able to get it road legal here? There are plenty driving around.

really? i’ve never seen one... least not an american style one ... i dont think its legal here to drive without a hood for one (i could be wrong on that)

Theres a US meet from April until September in The Hague, every friday or saturday, cant quite remember what day it is, admission is 24 Euros to park your car at the venue (it has to be somewhat US-based). Ive spotted more than once several hot rods there, however, you might be right on the hood-thing though. Im not too sure what the exempt rules are for such old chassis/cars, I do know theyre exempt on a lot of things (emissions, MOT, most modern safety inspections etc). MOT becomes a bi-yearly thing if Im not mistaken (or a once every 4 years thing).

theres a lot of exempts for sure and im also not too sure about what they are exactly... but i have family up in the hague so i think i’ll try and plan a visit with them next year and go find this meet and check out all the cool stuff
