This truck is always parked in this driveway when I go by. In case you can’t tell, it has rectangular mirrors duct taped over the headlights.

Headlights are busted, mirrors are used to reflect oncoming lights if it travels at dusk/night/dawn, it might work for alerting oncoming traffic but it’s useless for forward vision in the dark.

My guess is that if someone pulls into the driveway at night it looks like the truck is running so they go find somewhere else to rob. Whether this is effective or not is irrelevant to whether the owner thinks it is.

That’s what I think, but it’s to keep from being pulled over during the day for no headlights. Let’s hope it isn’t being driven at night.
Seriously though, a pair of sealed beam bulbs are less than $20. Probably $2 used from a junk yard if $20 is out of the budget.

My somewhat serious guess is he was going for the new F-150 headlights look. It’s what I first saw. Might not be as effective though.
