Mrs. BoostAddict usually does most of the direct sheep care, but a couple weeks ago she broke her foot falling off a ladder while helping me erect our barn... so I’ve been on 100% farm labor duty (not just technical/mechanical/construction services) for for the last while. It’s been

Sheep are pretty low maintenance if you have enough pasture land, but they require some work to keep them healthy and clean. If they are well socialised worming, vitamin dosing/vaccinations, hoof trimming and shearing is pretty easy... if they aren’t, well that’s another matter. Sheep are genetically fairly close to wild animals and those who are allowed to be on their own and aren’t kept actively involved with people will go feral pretty quickly. Sheep are exceptionally wiley, FAST, surprisingly strong, and much more capable of jumping than most tame sheep even realize... a feral sheep is more like a wooly deer than a farm animal. Also, not all rams are that nice, some are right bastards and WILL try to kill you. Fred is a special case, though BFL rams tend to be much more mellow in general than other breeds.

My mother-in-law lives on 7 acres in the middle of a pretty big suburb and I am always trying to make a case for more animals because I’m evil apparently. Now I want goats and sheep because the grass grows quickly and there is a lot of it.

What make is blue?
I got a dewalt laser level, that’s my only dewalt. The rest of my tools are mastercraft(canadiantire brand) whenever one of them dies, they get replaced by Makita.

classic Makita teal, though I guess Bosch is actually blue... I’ve always thought of the Makita color as “blue”...
it’s funny, I was a professional digital color management nerd for almost 20 years and I still massively generalize color names.
