Let me guess, the manual was either only available on an upper trim or with a performance package? Diff upgrade could make sense as it is inside the trans anyway so why not give the more performance oriented manuals a bit of a boost. Knowing nothing about Acuras google only shows me black Acura branded calipers with Brembo stamped on the back. Seems more like they were produced by Brembo for Acura instead of being real Brembos (i.e. beefy performance parts). Performance tires sounds like a load of bull.

I mean, they were included at no cost with the manual.

Go for the 6-speed, though. It’s a no-cost option, and ordering it also brings a helical-gear limited slip and choice brake hardware in the form of Brembo 4-piston front calipers. ”

Acura has done what it can with the limitations set forth by front drive, evidenced by the equipment on our test vehicle, which came with an available six-speed manual transmission (the first time one’s been offered on the TL), a limited-slip differential, Brembo four-piston front calipers, 8.0-by-17-inch wheels wearing 235/45 tires ,”

Nope. The TL was only one base model with different packages (Technology, etc.) and they really did give you all that extra shit for no cost. This was back in the day when an automatic would cost you more as an option, so it’s not like they were paying out of pocket for the upgrades.

TL-S brembo brake swaps are common, come on Honda Bro.

Good luck finding one though

The beak one had AWD available. I’ve never seen a manual AWD one of those anywhere, though.

Hopefully, though I’m still getting a second-gen Type-S with a manual if I can find one first.
