To trust a sticker, or to not trust a sticker?
I ordered slotted and drilled rotors for the corvette. Before receiving them, I looked up how to install keeping in mind directions etc. Received the rotors and.... sticker says opposite of what I learned.
For demonstration purposes, the holes and slots look like image below.
Would this rotor be installed on Driver side... .or passenger side? Whatever your opinion is... would you go with your opinion or the sticker on the rotor that says opposite?

Serious answer: I think it depends more on the vanes in the disc, not the slots. If you have tilted vanes. The vanes on top should face the rear of the car when installed.
Also a sticker is a guideline, but even people on assembly lines can do errors

Look into the rotor, from the end. It’s basically two discs with a vane sandwich inbetween.

Got it. I was looking at the slots, not the vents inside the rotor.
I’ll go with what the sticker says after I inspect these..vanes.

“Vented” rotors have internal vanes that dissipate heat during driving. There are several styles, but typically back-swept vanes need to rotate to extract heat from the vanes (above left). This is what matters when installing your new rotors. The direction of the slots is irrelevant.

Got it. Thanks. Already installed. Not yet driven. Will inspect when i get home, but I suspect I done it right since I followed the sticker instruction

Not sure what year Vette you have, but my C5Z has directional vents in the rotors.
Can I ask why you decided to get drilled and slotted rotors?

I have 1999 vette.
I figured I’ll give them a try and see if they perform any better. I needed to do the brakes anyway. Went to autozone for parts and A) they didn’t have shit in stock and B) their computer listed each brake part for each corner which I found ridiculous. When I asked them about it, they had no idea, so I didn’t want to end up with unusable shit. Went on amazon and ordered the slotted and drilled set.

Yeah, each brake rotor is different because of the directional vanes, and then the size difference between front and rear.
Go to NAPA, use basic solid rotors. Slotted and drilled don’t do anything to help performance, and once they crack and play connect the dots then they are junk.

Well, I didn’t get rid of the old rotors. They are still good. I will have them cut and ready to go on in case the new ones give me grief
