My garage is still a nasty cluttered mess, but I finally got my old Craftsman vise mounted. My wife’s uncle gave me this when he moved to Costa Rica like 2 years ago. I needed a vice for my floor mat project so before I started it I cleaned up a bit and got this bolted down. The goal for tomorrow is to get as much crap out of the garage as possible and do some serious vacuuming.

That looks much better than my gray China Craftsman vise. The bench looks neat, too. My sis has my dad’s old vise laying around somewhere, I should try and snag it from her.

Sweet, I’ve had a 3in one forever, and then my Dad just brought me a monster 6in one.. Now I’ve got dualling bench vices..

Suggestion from a mechanic- move the vise the very edge of the bench-and over to the corner. At some point, being able to turn the vise will come in handy. Look at the location of the shop vice in any working shop. It needs to be on the corner.

You’re very right. I can’t move it to the corner tho, the leg of the bench is in the way. Unless I only use two bolts.

Loosen the base + turn it around 180 degrees. The middle bolt should end up right on the point.
