On my way to work I saw one of these:
with this hood: painted white. It looked stock, sounded stock, except for the hood. coming up behind me I initially thought it was a civic.

I think it’s just a plastic insert. I was actually looking at a set for my C5 vette. Too much heat under the hood after getting milk.
Didn’t spend too much time looking for one. First one I found under “hood vent”

it was definitely more than an insert. the center section of the hood was a few inches taller than the rest of the hood, much more than normal

I have never seen that before. its not a bad style except for trying to suggest a rear engine. must make for a nice blind spot.
