As in shifter gate. Awesome red leather too. I was told that this may be a one of a kind with dash and steering wheel in matching red leather along with the gated shifter.

True. A wealthy friend had a silver Aston DB9 with an old blue interior leather mix and blond wood/aluminum trim interior. It had been ordered and somehow the customer back out of the sale. The dealer found my friend though other dealer connection. They sold him the car at discount because they couldn’t find a buyer for so long.

This reminds me of the 540i/6 on Bring a Trailer right now. The listing says some absurd thing like, “of the 1,254 540i/6 M-sports imported into the US, only 148 of them were ordered in Steel Gray over Midnight Black interior in 2003” or something very close to that. I mean, it was a nice example of a great car, but who gives a flying f**k about how many models were optioned in that exact specific combination in that specific year, no less. So there are 148 540i/6 m-sports like that. And 297 540i automatics like that, but not m-sport. And 2,540 530i manuals like that... and... basically no one but a very detail-oriented enthusiast will know a 540i m-sport from a 525i. It’s still a fantastic car, come on!

I’m not crazed about how many of whatever color whatever car etc were produced but I know a few people who get dead serious when you bring up things like that.
