This is one of my favourite, Gord sings Bobcaygeon while destroying Strombo at snooker while the band plays on.

Perhaps not as much global success, but yeah, still the best. I have a few Canadian friends and they’re in agreement with you (and me).
I was lucky enough to see them live once some years ago in Chicago, they were fantastic.

Wanted to share this too: http://www.hipmuseum.com/
A Museum After Dark, it’s run by a teacher in Ottawa, it details nearly every song of the band as well as a number of other things including stories and unreleased songs. A must visit for any Hip Fan.

That sucks that he’s gone. The Tragically Hip brings back memories of college. I went the Michigan Tech in the UP. I could just tune in 94.3 out of Thunder Bay in my house with a massive amount of speaker wire strung to the ceiling as an antenna. They played a lot of Tragically Hip.

I’m listening to Only the hip today,
It’s almost a normal day only sadder.
I got 11 hip albums on my iTunes.
