Anyone wanna take a guess how long the engine has? I’m considering doing Uber eats or some equivalent, but not sure if that’s a very good idea. Granted the bearing wear is apparently pretty normal for this engine, but it still doesn’t seem that good overall.

Also, what exactly does “Unit/Location average” mean? I assumed it meant what’s typical for that model engine in your climate. But if that was the case I kind of doubt my engine would be spot on with that on everything.

The unit/location averages are for your engine specifically. These will change as you fill out more reports:

I’m not sure what the unit/location averages is since it’s exactly the same as the numbers to the left of it.

Who do you use and how much does it cost? I’m thinking it could be a good idea to do on my Corolla. At the same time I’m a little worried about what I’d find out.

I used Blackstone. It was $28 and shipping was free both ways, so for a higher mileage car it’s probably worth even if you don’t suspect anything.

I think someone else already told you, but unit/location averages are just your averages. So as you gather more and more oil reports you can track wear specifically in your engine. The universal averages are the averages taken from all the users who have sent in samples that have your engine. So those are baseline numbers.

I would do what Blackstone says and listen for noise, but I’d also do a shorter oil change interval to see how the lead looks after 2500 miles.

I’d also get some Liqui Moly MOS2 to lower the wear metals even further.

I’m at 145,000 and have owned it since 121,000.
