In case you guys were wondering what else is at that dealership with the Transformers Bugatti. I was there a week and a half ago. Behind it is a LaFerrari and an Enzo, and you can sorta make out the Trevita and a “regular” CCX behind that. Out of frame to the left is a 911R and parked out front was an orange 675LT.

Just bonkers. I mean, I’m sure these high end dealers make lots of money, but their $$$ tied up in inventory is just insane.

I’m guessing in this shot alone there’s about $18 mil. It really is insane, I mean most exotic dealerships that I see might have a couple $1+ mil cars but they usually have a bunch of “regular” stuff too. This dealership was basically just these with a couple attainable cars parked out back. I overheard the salesman say they sold all three of their white GT3s earlier that morning, which had to be almost 25% of their lower-cost inventory.

Insane. The margins are awesome if you have the up-front capital to do it, and it’s not like a lot of these cars will ever depreciate, so as long as you have good insurance and can be patient for sales, I guess it’s no big deal.
Still hard for me to get my mind around, though.

You and me both. They’d probably make enough off of one of these to buy all three of those GT3s. Maybe I’ll have a better understanding when I hit the Powerball tonight...

my assumption was always that most of these are on consignment. They’d have insurance sure, but not their own capital invested into it.
