I put WeatherTech floor liners in the Durango!

Kinja'd!!!

Why not MOPAR mats? Well, because they don’t make a third row mat that fits with the 2nd row center console.

Kinja'd!!!

With the kiddos climbing in and out back there, I wanted all three rows protected. It was ‘spensive, but worth it.

Kinja'd!!!

I did splurge on Mopar’s new version of Slush Mats for my truck. They’re more WeatherTech-like in shape, but a heavier gripper rubber.

WeatherTech mats are 100% worth it.

I’ve had WeatherTechs in my last 3 new vehicles. I won’t have one without them now. I don’t know why I haven’t gotten them for the wife’s Jeep, but I should. Much better protection than just the all weather mats that we purchased when we bought the Jeep.

I generally don’t like how ‘slippery’ they are, but the protection makes up for it.

What kind of Jeep? The Wrangler ones are OK, the Grand Cherokee ones suck, but the Cherokee (and the Renegade I think?) are like the ones I have in my Ram. WeatherTech-ish.

I like Weathertech style mats, but not a huge fan of the LASER DESIGNED LASER LASER liners. A little too thin and slick, I’m more of a thick rubber kind of guy because I have a couple kids. Wait, that last sentence made no sense.

‘Tis a shame Road America will not allow either of my vehicles on track

They seem to be in the midst of revamping the mat lineup, and the WK’s have been pulled from the catalog altogether. Not sure what’s going on. I know you can order a brand new WK with them, but I think its still the old style flat mats.

How’s the Durango been? I really hope they end up being reliable, I think they’re really cool. Is the 3rd row useable (can an actual person fit back there)?

Nice!

I wanted to get WeatherTech mats for my Mustang, but I guess 1995 is too old for the laser measured ones. Hell, the SN95 was in production up till 2004; I didn’t expect to be stuck using universal ones.

The only bad part about the WeatherTech floor liners is that I still have to take the driver’s side out for autocross. It’s a bit of a pain, but oh well.

Ours has been good. It’s only got 4000 miles on it, but its less problematic than my Ram. We really don’t see these come in for anything, other than some slight oil leaks from the timing cover on the older 3.6, and some MDS problems in the Hemis.

I think I sat in the back row, and fit fine? I don’t remember. The kids fit back there perfectly, and entry is pretty easy, though the 2nd row seats make a loud THUNK when you put them back down that reverberates through the parking lot, neighborhood, etc.

Good to hear, my parents odyssey is getting pretty high in miles, but they still want to have something with 3 rows for when all of us visit, so I was thinking Durango.

I didn’t like the fitment of these in my friend’s car and I haven’t seen Husky in a car.

Wish someone made something that looks kinda nice, but durable, other than weathertech

Are you happy with the fit and finish?

Its passable. They’re a bit thin and slippery for my tastes, and could fit a bit better and tighter, but like you said there’s not much competition in the floor mat market.

I like WeatherTech stuff but often find myself wondering why we still have carpet in cars and trucks. Sure, carpet looks nice. But if it’s going to need protection from dirt/stains and smells by covering it with something.. Why not go back to Vinyl (Rubber?) floor covering?

If my wife and I only need the fronts and rears for her Durango do you recommend the Mopar then? The third row is constantly down with the exorbitant amount of stuff she has to haul around for work all day (pace makers to hospitals) so it’s not a need for us

Kinja'd!!! "Takuro Spirit" (takurospirit)
10/18/2017 at 10:17, STARS: 1

Yeah I would go for the Mopar mats. They’re more comparable to the Weathertechs, minus the over-the-hump section for the 2nd row, and should be heavier and less slippery feeling.
